Representatives from MHJMC and CIETAC-HK Arbitration Center visit respective centre 

Representatives from Mainland – Hong Kong Joint Mediation Center ("MHJMC”) and China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission Hong Kong Arbitration Center ("CIETAC-HK Arbitration Center”) visited each other’s centre on 27^th July, to step up efforts to reach tighter collaborations in response to the increasing demand for dispute resolution services across the nation. Both being members of the legal-related organizations at the Legal Hub of the Department of Justice, they extended their greetings to each other and expressed their inclination to organize more joint venue events.

MHJMC and CIETAC – Hong Kong Arbitration Center currently offer mediation and arbitration service respectively, with professionals with rich experience in the field. Coupled with professional training courses provided by MHJMC, more quality experts shall be nurtured in the near future. During the meeting, a fruitful and comprehensive discussion was conducted. The representatives suggested facilitating the collaboration by holding more joint venue events such as training programmes, seminars and other activities to promote Hong Kong’s dispute resolution services and expertise both locally and internationally.

The visit serves as a bilateral cooperation initiative to secure inclusive growth of the dispute resolution industry by strengthening both centres’ collaboration in the up-and-coming legal field. We dedicate to serving the public and delivering more accessible dispute resolution services in the near future.
