MHJMC
regularly holds International Professional Mediator Accreditation Assessment.
Assessed by veteran mediators, candidates have to achieve satisfactory
performance in two simulated mediation cases in order to obtain the
qualification of "International Accredited Professional Mediator”.

Students who have completed the International Professional Mediator Training
Certificate Course and attained relevant requirements are eligible to
apply for the International Professional Mediator Accreditation Assessment held by
MHJMC. This assessment aims to evaluate whether candidate has reached
the professional standard of a mediator. Candidates are required to pass
2 assessments in the format of simulated mediation case, including drafting the Mediated Settlement Agreement. See details
Each assessment lasts for 2 hours and the time allocation is as follows:

Eligibility |
Applicants must fulfill one of the following requirements:
- Completed the Professional Mediator Training Certificate Course organized or co-organized by MHJMC, obtained the relevant certificate within 3 years upon the completion of the Course; or
- Completed the mediator training courses organized by other organizations and accredited by MHJMC, obtained the relevant certificate within 3 years upon the completion of the Course; or
- Completed the 40-hour General Mediator Training Course of Hong Kong Mediation Centre and the Certificate Course on Training for Cross-border Mediator (Conversion Course) of MHJMC and obtained the Certificate of Completion within the past 3 years
