In addition, MHJMC is also facilitated with a comprehensive structure and different types of mediators, including International Accredited Professional Mediators, Senior International Mediation Experts, Certified Workplace Mediators, etc., providing mediators with advancement and specialization development opportunities, at the same time creating more suitable options for parties in disputes.
International Accredited Professional Mediator
International Accredited Professional Mediators completed the relevant Professional Mediator Training Certificate Course, obtained the related certificate and passed 2 assessments in the format of simulated mediation case. IAPMs possess the skills needed for dealing with different kinds of disputes and are professionally mannered in providing dispute resolution services for parties in dispute.

CPD Scheme
Continuing Professional Development ("CPD") is the systematic maintenance, improvement and broadening of knowledge and skill, and the development of personal qualities necessary for the execution of professional duties. On the other hand, one of the objectives of Mainland - Hong Kong Joint Mediation Center is to maintain and enhance the professional standard and quality of services of different Dispute Resolution Experts. Therefore, MHJMC hopes that, through this Scheme, expected outcomes can be yielded, assisting the professional development of different Dispute Resolution Experts.

International Professional Dispute Resolution Advocate
Any individual having finished the Dispute Resolution Advocacy Training Course and passing the accreditation assessment offered by MHJMC may register to become International Professional Dispute Resolution Advocate of MHJMC. Being an IPDRA of MHJMC renders opportunities for handling international and/or cross-border disputes on the advanced dispute resolution platform and representing the party concerned through different stages as it may require in resolving a particular dispute.

CPD Policy
MHJMC has adopted the Continuing Professional Development Policy with an aim to encourage Dispute Resolution Experts to continue professional training in skills and knowledge relevant and applicable in mediation practice. Dispute Resolution Experts are asked to meet minimum CPD requirements in order to be eligible for renewal of their qualification as MHJMC Dispute Resolution Experts.

MHJMC will organize regular events in order to allow Dispute Resolution Experts to meet the CPD requirements. However, Dispute Resolution Experts may also achieve CPD requirement through attending courses and activities organized by other organizations given that prior approval is obtained from MHJMC. Application for CPD Events Approval
CPD events can be categorized into three major areas, including training, professional activities, and voluntary work related to mediation. In order to verify that the events comply with the requirements of MHJMC on CPD Courses / Talks / Seminars / Workshops, other organizers have to apply for MHJMC’s approval for each of the relevant event. Application form should be completed and submitted to the Secretariat of MHJMC for the approval of CPD credits.
